If food is the taste of home, then music is the voice of the heart.
In a world where local culture has become an invaluable resource, Chanthaburi is emerging as a rising hub of Gastronomy — a City of Flavors that offers more than just its famed tropical fruits and fresh seafood. Here, food becomes a powerful tool for sustainable economic, cultural, and tourism development.
Chanthaburi’s Local Cuisine: Beyond Taste, It’s a Story of Value
Under the initiative “Mahat Sa Chan of Flavors – Chanthaburi Gastronomy”, the province demonstrates its vision of development through food, emphasizing a holistic approach from farm to table. This includes careful sourcing of local ingredients, innovative processing techniques, and the elevation of local cuisine into Functional Food — dishes designed not only for flavor but also for health and well-being.
The goal is not only to add economic value to local produce, but also to share the region’s cultural identity with the world — one bite at a time.

Culture + Creativity = Global Potential
On April 5, 2025, Chanthaburi once again played a prominent role on the national stage by participating in the Muang Nhor Festival, an international cultural and music event held in Suphanburi Province from April 5–7 at the Dragon Descendants Museum and other key locations across the city.
As part of Thailand’s integrated effort to promote UNESCO Creative Cities, the festival served as a major platform connecting creative cities across the region — highlighting the fields of music, gastronomy, and culture.
Representing Chanthaburi at the event was Mrs. Manassri Tanlai, Director of the Chanthaburi Provincial Cultural Office, on behalf of Mr. Monsit Phaisalthanawat, Governor of Chanthaburi. The delegation joined in collaborative activities with other creative cities, exchanging ideas and knowledge to bring back and apply within the local context.
The Harmony of Music and Food: A New Opportunity for Local Communities
The festival featured live performances by international artists from fellow UNESCO Creative Cities including the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, and Indonesia — alongside famous Thai performers such as Joy ,The Golden Microphone.
More than a concert, the event was a rich cultural exchange — a living exhibition of heritage, identity, and creativity. This experience reflects the essence of the Creative Cities concept that Chanthaburi is actively embracing — blending food, music, and tourism to shape a new cultural economy.
A Destination for Culinary Travelers: “Happiness Every Day in Chanthaburi”
Under the slogan “Happiness Every Day in Chanthaburi”, the province is rapidly becoming a top destination for food lovers, travelers, and seekers of authentic cultural experiences.
Activities under the Chanthaburi Gastronomy initiative are expanding into hands-on workshops, traditional cooking demonstrations, local chef development, and restaurant elevation programs — positioning food as Soft Power for the province on an international scale.
In Summary
Chanthaburi is not only advancing its local economy and cultural heritage, but is stepping confidently onto the global stage with its authentic strengths — flavor and culture.
When food becomes more than sustenance, and music becomes more than entertainment, even a small province like Chanthaburi can spark great inspiration.
And you — are you ready to taste and hear Chanthaburi with your heart?
