Unearthing “The Lost Taste”: Chanthaburi’s Local Cuisine, A New Heart for Gastronomy Tourism

Chanthaburi Province – On May 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Ministry of Culture, through the Department of Cultural Promotion, held a meeting to follow up on the progress of an important project (Thailand Best Local Food) under the topic “The Lost Taste” for the 2025 fiscal year. Mr. Issara Riwtrakulpaiboon, Director of the Cultural Network Affairs Division, chaired the meeting via Zoom Meeting, with cultural office officials from across the country participating, including representatives from the Chanthaburi Provincial Cultural Office, led by Miss Sunisa Ngamsom, Cultural Academic Officer, Professional Level, and Miss Wachiraporn Chinnak, Cultural Academic Officer, Practitioner Level.

This meeting is considered a significant step in driving and promoting Chanthaburi local food to be widely known at the national level, and to elevate it to become a highlight of Gastronomy Tourism, which aligns with the province’s outstanding potential for quality ingredients and unique food culture.
